SUSTAINABILITY NFS REPORTING AND REVIEWS

ENVIRONMENTAL DUE DILIGENCE

Climate Finance analyzes the flows of investments, public and private, in favor of the reduction of climate change. KFD Governance helps companies in requesting investments for mitigation, and therefore in reducing emissions (renewable energy plants or greater energy efficiency), and in requesting resilient investments for the construction of infrastructures capable of withstanding future conditions linked to climate change .

It assists investors in defining sustainable and responsible investment policies and strategies, so that they are consistent with the specific needs and principles of those who make use of their advice. we also follow the typical activities of originator of renewable plants by identifying the areas, negotiating with the owners and following the administrative procedures for authorization, press office, organization of meetings with local communities and other stakeholders.

We support companies in creating added value by planning CSR actions and monitoring their effects. As a result of Legislative Decree 254/2016, the sustainability report has become mandatory for listed companies, banks and insurance companies. Large companies, banks and insurance companies must also attach a non-financial report (DNF, non-financial statement) to the traditional financial statements with their ESG (environmental, social and governance) choices that inspire the company and the actions taken in terms of CSR (corporate social responsibility).

The sustainability report assesses not only the ecological footprint of the plants, but also the attention to the well-being of employees (welfare, human rights, gender equality and diversity for example) and the impact on the surrounding community (the territory). All these measures and actions are translated into economic-accounting indices, according to international standards. With the entry into force of the Italian Third Sector Code (2017), the obligation to draw up and file the social report was also triggered for the largest non-profit organizations.

As statutory auditors, we can issue certification regarding the compliance of non-financial information presented by banks, insurance companies and large companies (Legislative Decree 254/2016) and third sector entities with verification according to the reference standard ISAE 3000 (International standard on assurance engagements), international standard (GRI) for the compliance of the non-financial statements attached to the financial statements on issues such as: environment, social, anti-corruption, human resources, protection of human rights.

The market is increasingly demanding compliance with the many sector regulations, the verification of correct correspondence with environmental regulations: companies fear not only sanctions but also the loss of authorizations, financing and reputation.

Anyone who buys a company wants to understand how it is managed also in terms of sustainability. We analyze all risk profiles and ESG opportunities with specific tools, from operations to supply chain dangers. Our specializations: circular economy, waste, reclamation, climate change litigation, energy, water resources, pollution, Vas and Aia (Italian administrative authorization about environment impact).
